Nompilo Dlamini started her career in acting back in 2002/2003 working in different productions under community Theatre at the Stable Theatre and playhouse in Durban, accumulating skills and experience in musical plays performance. Her natural talent landed her a space in one of the Market Theater Laboratory 3 months acting workshops, she had to travel from Durban and to Johannesburg for a due course. She then discovered that there is a full-time Drama school where she can further learn more about Theatre, which she then applied and enrolled for 2 years (2005/2006). During her student years at the lab, she traveled to Sweden and America in students' cultural exchange programs. After her graduation, she landed a supporting role in a drama series called Bay of plenty, followed by a lead role in a Musical play directed by Jane Collins from Wilberforce University in London, which was staged at The Market Theatre and The Grahams town Festival. She then got an internship in office administration at the Market Theatre Laboratory in 2008/2009 and later was offered a position as an assistant administrator. She later left the office world and went back on stage in 2016, touring with musical production. She slowly rebuilt her TV profile by cameo appearances on movies and soapies such as Ayanda, She is King, Isibaya, Generations the legacy.
